2011 Series

Planning for the 2011 Farming in the 21st Century series of events is well underway with keynote speakers, exhibitors and a variety of informative workshops being organised for the Innovative Farming Series in early 2011.  

The 2011/2012 events will be bolstered by a $100,000 grant from the William Buckland Foundation which provides innovative funding to co-operative groups working in partnership to try and provide new initiatives toward community problem solving.  The funding from the Foundation will enable the Farming in the 21st Century committee to showcase high calibre speakers at three planned workshops in the first half of 2011 and provide two large field day events call 'AgriFest'.

Farming in the 21st Century is an annual series of workshops hosted by partners Northern Grampians Shire, Ararat and Pyrenees Councils, DPI and Project Platypus. The workshops are held between February and April in various venues around our region and address a broad range of agricultural and environmental issues relevant to sustainable farming.
